Apprentices

A cosmetology apprentice is a person who is learning and working in a Registered Apprenticeship salon and is covered by a written Apprenticeship Agreement. Apprentices are enrolled in cosmetology school and required to meet specific grade standards and educational hours as well as on the job training hours which collectively takes about 2 years. Once all requirements have been met an apprentice must pass State Board testing which consists of a theory and practical exam. After passing the State Boards the apprentice is then able to obtain a Cosmetology License.
